After months of putting it off, I’ve finally decided to start this blog as a home for more of my personal work. I plan to stick mostly to photographs I make outside of the job, but from time to time I’ll include a selection of those as well. I guess it’s also a way to update friends and family with my recent adventures. I hope it motivates me to shoot more for myself and act as a creative outlet, as cliche as that sounds.
To begin, I’m posting some images from a recent trip north to Coeur d’Alene and Montana. To mark the one-year anniversary of the Idaho Photojournalism Alliance (check out the website: http://www.idahopa.com/), a group of us rented a cabin on Lake Coeur d’Alene for a few days. A much needed and energizing trip for sure. It was great to spend a few days hanging out with some other shooters from around the state I don’t get to see very often. Good people and good times. On the way back, I stopped in Missoula to visit a friend, Cody, for a night that involved sketchy bars, gambling, and guns. All in all, an excellent trip. Some images from the above, as well as some snaps from various places along the way:
