Cyclocross races usually provide some great opportunities for visuals. Add a bunch of wacky Halloween costumes to the mix, and it becomes an almost visual overload. Despite the cold and rain, festive spectators and racers came out in force for Cross Crusade’s costume race this past Sunday around Deschutes Brewery in the Old Mill in Bend. The compact area course made getting to a lot of different sections and hills relatively easy, and I enjoyed the variety of vantage points. And the costumes! Definitely appreciated the creativity.
